Jane Robertson, MSW, LCSW, CADC

Jane is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor with more than 30 years of experience in medical and behavioral health treatment of individuals and their families. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and Loyola University of Chicago with a Master of Social Work Degree. Her approach is eclectic with a focus on empowerment through education and insight into behavior patterns, often generational, that form our day to day lives and can be great opportunities for change. She integrates Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Anger Management techniques in therapy, whichis individualized and based on unique client needs. Her practice is trauma informed as she recognizes the powerful and pervasive impact that trauma and its aftereffects have on so many. Jane’s approach is direct, non-judgmental, interactive and always informative. It is based on client resilience and laughter is encouraged. Her current practice is with adults and areas of treatment include relationship issues, dual diagnosis with medical or addiction disorders, physical and sexual abuse issues, mood disorders, anxiety/panic, grief and loss, as well as life transitions.
